The Minister of Agriculture has stated that the Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Agraria (Senasa) and its Dutch counterpart have connected their electronic certification systems, bringing about a reduction of time, costs and the risk of fraud.
This allows for the protection of Peruvian agriculture and increases the opportunity for international trade.
Through the Netherlands, Peruvian agricultural products enter other European markets.
Of the US$ 600 million export in agricultural products to the Netherlands in 2016, around US$ 300 million is re-exported to other member states of the European Union.
